Reducing consumption stands as the most powerful approach to waste management. This means making conscious choices to use fewer resources from the start. By purchasing only what you truly need and selecting products with minimal packaging, you prevent waste generation at its source. Reducing helps save landfill space while cutting down on the energy and natural resources needed for manufacturing. Simple actions like bringing reusable bags to stores, using refillable water bottles, and avoiding single-use items significantly decrease your environmental footprint.

Reuse: Extending product life

Reusing involves finding new purposes for items before discarding them. This approach extends the lifespan of products and delays their entry into waste streams.
